Getting started
The shape of a run, the goal of a fight, and the choices you make each turn.

The short version
Auto Cats is a turn-based tactical roguelite deckbuilder played on a 6×6 grid. You spend Cat Treats to summon cats, reposition the squad during planning, and spend mana to play skill cards from your hand.
Enemies show what they plan to do next. Read that intent, choose an answer, and protect your hero before you press GO to resolve the round.
What ends a fight
Defeat every enemy to win. If your hero falls, the fight—and the run—is over. Other cats can take risks, but the hero is the one unit you cannot afford to lose.
- Keep the hero outside dangerous attack shapes.
- Use sturdier cats to control likely lines of attack.
- Remember that reinforcements keep a fight moving forward.
Your starting resources
A standard run begins with 3 mana, 2 Cat Treats, and 0 gold. Cat Treats pay for cats in the shop, while mana pays for skill cards during battle.
