Combat & turns

How summoning, movement, mana, cards, enemy intent, and the GO button fit together.

Last updated: September 2026

Plan before GO

Your planning phase is where the real fight happens. Spend Cat Treats to summon cats, move each cat according to its legal directions, and spend mana on skill cards. Each cat can perform one targeted card action before becoming tired for that planning round.

Common immediate cards resolve without using a cat. Once you press GO, planned actions and enemy intent resolve and the next round begins.

There are no free attacks

Cats never perform a basic attack on their own. Every point of damage your team deals comes from a card you chose to play on a specific cat.

Desktop controls

  • Drag a placed cat to a glowing tile to move or bond it.
  • Drag a targeted card onto an eligible unit.
